Australia, the“Lucky Country” It is hard for
men to grasp that our creator God made a plan thousands of years ago, which is
still current and ongoing today! Almost 4,000
years ago God made rich and specific promises to one God-fearing man. That man
was promised to become the father of a multitude of nations (Genesis 17:4, ‘As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a
father of many nations,’) by which all the world would be blessed, (Genesis 12:3, ‘And I will bless them that
bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in
thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.’). His descendants would
become as the stars in the heavens and the sand upon the sea shore, and control
the strategic points of the earth ( Genesis 22:17-18, ‘That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply
thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed
shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of
the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.’) That man was
called Abraham, and God honoured him because ‘Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my
statutes, and my laws.’ Later, God
promised Abraham’s grandson Jacob who He renamed Israel, that of him would come
‘a nation and a company of nations
....and kings shall come out of thy loins.’ Jacob’s own grandsons were
called Manasseh and Ephraim. Manasseh was promised to become the single great
nation, but his younger brother Ephraim would become a company or commonwealth
of nations, Genesis 48:19, ‘And his
father refused, and said, I know it,
my son, I know it: he also
shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger
brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of
nations.’ Of their father Joseph, God said ‘Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose
branches run over the wall.’ His descendants
were prophesied to spread out over the world, and Ephraim in particular would
become a great colonising power, teaching many nations how to increase their
agricultural production. While both Manasseh and Ephraim have been leaders in
the service of humanity, helping to overcome famine and disaster in nations
around the world, they also carried the Bible with them as they went, just as
God intended, by making them the nation through whom the rest of the world
could know God. From Britain,
Manasseh separated to eventually form the United States of America, just as
Israel had been sifted through the nations on its migration from the Middle
East, Amos 9:9, ‘For, lo, I will command,
and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall
not the least grain fall upon the earth.’
The Pilgrim Fathers sailed to America from this very spot in Plymouth
harbour. Later in 1787,
Britain dispatched the first of its colonists to ‘Terra Australis’
– the great South Land – again from this very same harbour in Plymouth. What
started as two great colonies were to become two great nations of roughly the
same 3,000,000 square miles; the United States of America and Australia. The Biblical prophecies were coming true! God would bless
the children of Joseph, just as He promised in Genesis 49:25, ‘Even
by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall
bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the
womb.’ While they kept His Laws He
made them great, Deuteronomy 28:3-6,
‘Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed
shall be the fruit of thy body,
and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed
shall be thy basket and thy
store. Blessed
shalt thou be when thou comest
in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest
out.’ However, as time
passed, Britain led the way in departing from their laws and traditions which
were originally based upon God’s word. Liberal minded leaders brought in
politically correct ideas which were diabolically opposed to Biblical teaching
in almost every part of society and a downward spiral into violence,
perversion, corruption and mis-education is still
bringing Britain low today. No human leaders
can be perfect, but some are wiser than others. As part of that great company
of nations, the Commonwealth, headed by a sovereign descended from the Bible’s
King David, exactly as promised in the Bible long ago, the great South land has
indeed become the ‘lucky country.’ (Sinim, Isaiah
49:8-12, is translated Australia in the Latin vulgate translation). Australia has benefitted from wiser leaders than
most nations for many years and so for some time avoided the worst excesses of
political correctness, which have so plagued Britain, and has continued to
prosper. Regular visitors to Britain, who are residents
of Australia, appreciate that Australian standards and traditions remain
stronger than those of its mother country. Australia’s sense of nationhood has
not been diluted as much by multiculturalism, which European nations now recognise
as divisive, and because of its one time carefully controlled immigration. The
nation’s unity and pride are still seen in our annual Australia Day
celebrations and our outgoing national generosity was outstanding when our near
neighbour Indonesia was struck by that infamous tsunami. Neither does
Australia’s isolation in the Southern hemisphere prevent our participation in
the fight for freedom, from the famous ANZAC’s in the First World War, to
Afghanistan. The dogged courage and independence of the famous ‘Aussie battler’
relates to the harshness of the red interior of the land, where their struggle
with heat and storm, drought and flood, has moulded a stronger character less
subject to the vagaries of ‘modern’ thought. Consequently, Australia
still enjoys most of the blessings as described in Deuteronomy 28 and I have
enjoyed gathering the following examples of God’s blessings in my travels over
this wild and beautiful continent. Click here to view some of

long ago, half a million people were gathering in London for a ‘Gay Pride’
march through Britain’s capital just after 2 car bombs were discovered there
and defused. Few will connect these incidents, but sadly Australia too has its
deviants, for remember she too is of Ephraim and all of Israel has always been
stiff necked and rebellious. Deuteronomy 31:27, ‘For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck:
behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against
the LORD; and how much more after my death?’ said Moses, who lead the
Israelites out of Egypt. Australians need
to remember that their constitution starts with these words ,“Whereas the
people of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and Tasmania,
humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God ...” . Yes, He it is who has
blessed Australia, but we too, as a nation, have strayed away from His words,
into violence, drunkenness, adultery, abortion, ‘alternative lifestyles’ and
evil “political correctness” of all kinds, though somewhat later than Britain. Our merciful God
however, will not fully pour out His wrath until all men and women everywhere
have been clearly warned of the tremendous consequences to come, so that we
might have a chance to repent and receive His protection during these terminal
years. Some, just a very few, will heed this pre-announcement warning and begin
to prepare themselves for the return of Christ. So, let’s examine that Divine
warning and understand the chronological events of the last seven years before the
return of Christ and the establishment of the Kingdom of God here on the earth.
Last Seven Years First let’s read
Matthew 24 and Revelation 6. These two chapters both reveal a great deal about
the last 7 years of this era. Notice – Matthew 24 Revelation

signs are “the beginning of sorrows,” verse 8, and “the tribulation of those
days,” as it tells us in verse 29 of Matthew 24. Only then, do we come to the
warning under discussion. First we see it mentioned in a mostly misunderstood
verse, Matthew 24:14, ‘And this gospel of
the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then
shall the end come.’ Christianity
has taken this verse to refer to the commission given to the church by Christ
in Matthew 28:19-20, ‘Go ye therefore,
and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I
have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
Amen.’ It does not. The church has
fulfilled that commission to some extent over the centuries, but this verse
refers to the same gospel being preached “in ALL the world” for a “witness to ALL nations,” and “then
shall the end come.” The church has never
reached “all the world” with the gospel. Nations with
strong, false religions like Islam and Eastern religions, as well as some
communist nations, forbade it. Now the warning message is to reach every- one
on earth, and not by man’s feeble efforts! Miraculous
Warning Lets read about
that in Revelation 14: 6-7, ‘And I saw
another angel fly in the midst of
heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the
earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a
loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is
come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the
fountains of waters’ Here is the same
gospel of Jesus Christ, mankind’s only Saviour, who is soon to return to
establish His Kingdom of God here on the earth, delivered miraculously by an
angel to every man and woman, every
people who dwell in every nation on the planet! The second part of the
message instructs all to fear God and give Him true worship, ie, to change from wrong ways and wrong religions, for with
this message the hour of His judgment has arrived! These two short
verses are the condensation of
graphic visual images and spoken words which will be projected miraculously,
into the minds of ALL, so that no-one on earth will be able to claim that they
were never given fair warning to change their ways. How will that be
achieved? Joel 2:28, ‘And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall
see visions,’ - in dreams and
visions that will astound the God defying atheists, who nevertheless will still
find reasons to disobey. Worldwide, “Christians” will rejoice, but in their
joyful celebrations many will neglect to actually begin to live by Jesus
Christ’s words and example, as most have, during the last 2000 years! This amazing
worldwide event will mark the start of the final seven years of the end-time
(see the chart no 5 of the end-time series on this website) and can neither be
mistaken nor ignored. Many Christians
have understood the link between Matthew 24 and Revelation 6. Very few
understand the link with the chronology listed in Revelation 14, which adds
additional information about the
end-time events, which have until now been generally unrecognised. Soon, God is
going to reach into all minds worldwide with dreams and visions to warn all of
the coming result of man’s rebellion. When it comes, and no-one will be missed,
don’t ignore the second part of the announcement at the cost of your life, as
will many, in the excitement created by this staggering event. Today, you have
been given advance warning of this message, and if you will act on it, like
Abraham, you could play a special part in the Great Plan of God. To find out more
