God Is Not Mocked

The juxtaposition on the whole of the front page of last week’s ‘Mail,’ my local newspaper, of the town’s first gay pride march, and the report of a violent fight at our local senior High School which many of us saw depicted on TV, spoke tellingly of the loss of morality in our society, the loss of those respected and eternal laws in God’s word which determine what is right and what is wrong .

Now it seems, almost every kind of perversion is something to be proud of, and neither is there any authority in our schools, so that our teachers are afraid to discipline and dare not intervene even when a student is being kicked in the head, for fear of offending political correctness.

Our churchmen have been so busy doing away with God’s commands that Jesus Christ has disowned them, ‘On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness,’  Matthew 7:22-23. Our government, fearing the left’s political correctness, leans towards making it a criminal offense to speak out against such rebellion and lawlessness, ‘That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.’ Isaiah 29:21.

But God is not mocked. We, as a people have rejected God’s word and, as we saw, we are already reaping the results of our refusal to keep His laws, which God has promised will finally lead to our invasion and destruction, despite our liberal naysayers.

The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, when the house of Israel  [The US, Britain and her Commonwealth] lived in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds. Their ways before me were like the uncleanness of a woman in her menstrual impurity. So I poured out my wrath upon them for the blood that they had shed in the land, for the idols with which they had defiled it. I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries. In accordance with their ways and their deeds I judged them,’  Ezekiel 36:16-19. Read the whole of the chapter to see that this is yet future.
