True Education

We live in a world where the teaching of traditional subjects, English, Maths, Science, History and Geography is gradually becoming regarded as obsolete, now to be replaced by ‘learning how to learn’, critical thinking, inquiry based learning and such subjects as multiculturalism, inter-cultural sensitivity, protecting the environment, all foisted off on our teachers by left wing educrats at the OECD, and their plans to test ‘global competence’ in a ‘Programme for International Student Assessment.’

This radical left wing indoctrination adds to the mistaken belief that the teacher should not impose upon a child external standards of behaviour because their personal beliefs and behaviours are the only possible correct ones, such is the importance of the individuals self worth.

Of course this indoctrination undermines everything that is unique in Western civilisation’s concept of human dignity and real human rights such as those in the American Declaration of Independence; “The unalienable God-given right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” as well as the concept of free speech, the right to vote, and not be oppressed by government, principles largely derived from the foundation of British Common Law and ultimately the Bible.

What a travesty of education, designed to remove the foundations of our society and the destruction of the West – and all brought about because of our arrogant rejection of God and His laws. Thankfully, a change is coming and those atheist educrats will be replaced by the true educators of the world tomorrow who understand the source of wisdom, Proverbs 9:10, ‘The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.’ NASB.

Gentiles Honour Education

A new OECD report ranks Australia 7th in the world for academic performance of its migrant students. Children from certain migrant groups do better at school than Australian-born students, particularly those from India, China and the Philippines. They also tend to have more ambitious career aspirations and lower rates of bullying.

According to the report, “Resilience of Students with an Immigrant Background”, migrant students from England, Scotland and New Zealand were less likely to achieve even base line economic proficiency. The report examined literacy, numeracy and science performance.

Professor Ken Cruikshank, an educational lecturer at Sydney University, said people often come to Australia for their children. “I think it’s part of being a migrant that it’s the chance to succeed perhaps where the parents didn’t …. and the idea that success in life comes through education,” he said.

Confirmation came from a comment by a parent who escaped the civil war in 1970’s Lebanon. ”  They’d seen the worst. And I guess when you do see the worst, you appreciate life a bit more.” She said her children all understood that education was the path to a better life. “I say, Do you want a good life?  Get a good education and you must work very hard.”

As a career educator for some 30 years, I have myself noticed the difference in attitude to education between gentile children and those from ‘Israelite’ Britain and its Israelite ex-colonies. Travel in nations like Africa and visit schools and the difference in classroom atmosphere and attention is immediately apparent. The children are respectful, attentive and keen to learn. Whereas often in Western classrooms it is a battle to gain the attention of some students, who have little respect for anyone at all.

This growing general attitude is bringing about the decline in Western civilisation, an attitude of  ‘We have it all. It is what we think that counts. We don’t need to be diligent and respectful of authority for we don’t even respect our parents.’

We have taught them to believe this!

We in the West have taken our many blessings for granted, for the blessings we so casually enjoy were those which were promised by God to our ancestor Abraham’s descendants. We have accepted the blessings as our right, but they are not a right as the Gentile nations well know, and our lack of respect for God and His laws – true education – is bringing about the withdrawal of those blessings, until finally they will be gone.

Malachi 1:6, “A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is my fear? says the LORD of hosts to you, O priests, who despise my name. But you say, ‘How have we despised your name?’

  Verse 11 – 12, ‘For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will beb great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name will be great among the nations, says the LORD of hosts. But you profane it…’  

And  Malachi 2:1-2,  ‘And now, O priests, this command is for you. If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart to give honor to my name, says the LORD of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart.’ 

Deuteronomy 28: 43-45, ‘The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:’ 

Earth’s Future Climate

You may have noticed the grip of much colder winter weather over the Northern hemisphere, spreading even into Africa, the current expansion of the Eastern Antarctic ice sheet and recent claims  (later retracted ) that January set a heat record for Sydney, but the amazing thing is, apparently according to the global warming cohort, these events are linked.   ” Climate disruption, whether fire or ice, we’re to blame. No ifs, no buts.”

I have pointed out  that there is ample evidence of global warming having taken place many times in the past, and global cooling, resulting in warmer periods than today, as well as the ice age, long before man began producing Co2 by burning fossil fuels in industry. I have pointed out that these fuels were produced naturally out of our atmosphere by plants and trees, and that burning them only returns to the atmosphere what was at one time part of it, but these ‘scientists’ ignore such points, reject such debate and their academies starve non conforming researchers of both information (which they prefer to keep hidden) and funds.

However, satellite information now confirms that global air temperatures are back to the same level they were before the 2014-16 super El Nino event and this decline is accelerating. Satellites have also detected a fall in sea surface temperatures since 2015.

One solar expert is predicting another minor ice age based upon the declining sun spot activity which is predicted to reach a minimum between 2019 and 2020, but the Green-left global warming movement is determined that their dubious scientific data is cause enough for the West to pay $128 billion annually to counteract unspecified environmental damage to the third world.

Significantly, their socialist allies Russia and China fail to donate, despite their significant Co2 emissions . Meanwhile, places like South Australia have been duped  into dumping its abundant base load energy from coal by their left wing government so that blackouts have been their reward along with declining industry and their youth departing to find work elsewhere, while foreign governments eagerly buy their rejected coal, showing the futility of their costly policies.

Meantime, recent research correlates a close connection between solar activity and the earth’s climate, backing the Bible’s insistence that the earth’s climate is under God’s control and will remain stable during the coming millennium of 1000 years, after the Great Tribulation, Isaiah 30:23-25, ‘And he will give rain for the seed with which you sow the ground, and bread, the produce of the ground, which will be rich and plenteous. In that day your livestock will graze in large pastures, and the oxen and the donkeys that work the ground will eat seasoned fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork. And on every lofty mountain and every high hill there will be brooks running with water, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.’  

Justice in Trade

‘Watch out, Trump will start a trade war! Protectionism will lead to economic ruin – free trade with no tariffs is the way to a nation’s wealth!’

Well, thats the cry we are hearing  from virtually every quarter, and certainly it is the politically correct viewpoint of our leaders in Australia. Doesn’t that make you a little uneasy? It does me, and maybe thats because I have been around a long time and have a reasonable memory.

Now, most of you know I am a pom, as well as an Australian. I can remember the time when my home town in the UK hummed with activity – countless cotton mills employed many people and Lancashire cotton goods were exported worldwide. Now, no cotton, no mills, many empty houses and too many unemployed. Where do cotton goods come from today ? Anywhere, Egypt – India – Pakistan – any countries where wages are lower and the standard of living less than in the UK.

Then there was steel. Huge steel works in many places, churning out UK steel for British cars, ships, washing machines – you name it. Gradually they closed down, til now the few steel plants left face extinction. Why?  Because cheap steel from ’emerging nations’ makes UK steel unsaleable.

Then I came to Oz and bought the iconic Australian vehicle – the Holden car. No more. Australia stopped making Holdens. And Fords, and the rest. Australian made cars could not compete against the price of cars made in the ’emerging nations’.

That’s why Trump became President. Too many people in the American rust belt remembered much the same, and longed for someone who would level the playing field – make trade a little fairer by placing a tariff on imported goods which undercut the American made equivalent because their makers accepted much lower wages.

This effect was may have been made even more dangerous by certain command economies which could see what effect such goods were having on the West and could control the price of those goods to undermine strategic Western industries.

So Trump has a point which gains little mention in our left driven media. But where any State is losing out to the tune of lost industries we have to be suckers to swallow ‘free trade’ with no tariffs. The trick is to look at our overall trade balance with any one country and aim to keep it balanced and fair. If every country did that, fairness and justice would prevail and no country would be using ‘slave’ labour to gain an advantage in sales to another country. A pipe dream?  Maybe, in the present. But change is coming because, believe it or not, Jesus Christ is coming back, maybe sooner than you think, when world trade will still occur, but at His just command, Psalm 103:6,  ‘The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed,’   and Isaiah 56:1, ‘Thus says the LORD: “Keep justice, and do righteousness, for soon my salvation will come, and my righteousness be revealed.’  

‘Green’ Imposters

The Tasmanian election delivered a horror result for the Greens, with their 2010  5 seats now reduced to 1, as Tasmanians have gradually woken up to the dangers of the far left posing as genuine conservationists, who in the name of political correctness would seek to destroy Tasmania’s economy and damage Australia’s .

Way back in April 2012 I wrote :-

GREENS AIN’T GREEN!

Have you known any Greens who actually farm? Most never have, and that’s why you get reports like ‘Livestocks Long Shadow’, stating that ruminants (cows, sheep etc) produce 18% of the worlds greenhouse gases and should be banned from farms to save the planet, while we should all become vegetarians.

In fact, cows, with their several stomachs are actually mobile mini-factories designed to continuously re-inoculate the soil with special micro organisms which multiply in their digestive tract. Pick up a cow pat and look underneath and you will see a host of activity with holes where many creatures, worms, dung beetles and the like which feed on the pat, break it down and carry its fertilising contents to the subsoil. There, the billions, yes so many, micro organisms break down the soil constituents, releasing minerals which are then carried by the worms to further distribute and cultivate the freshly inoculated soil, enabling the roots of the crop to take up the vital minerals which organic food contains.

Worms flourish under cow pats and keep the soil alive and healthy, but are slowly killed by continued use of artificial organophosphate fertilisers, which make the plants grow fast and look good (eg deep green grass) , but cause the soil to lack the vital minerals which food should contain to keep us healthy.

Boron, for example, needed for us to avoid arthritis, is just one mineral often missing in our food for that reason – a fact discovered by Dr Rex Newnham, who while he lived, was a member of a congregation I served, and only recently does it appear in vitamin and mineral supplements  here in Australia.

Rex was a soil scientist and helped me to see that in my fields where the organophosphate granules were scattered , there were few mole hills, but in a smaller less accessible paddock which the tractor avoided, here  were many molehills year after year, because it contained many more worms which the moles (In the UK) eat.

Oh, and that UN report, as usual was a con. More than half the emissions it attributed to livestock were actually caused by deforestation, a fact discovered by Simon Fairlie, a former editor of The Ecologist magazine, who dissected its detail.’

 

Now, the Greens are pushing a new documentary which wrongly suggests to foreigners that kangaroos are a ‘disappearing resource’ in Australia. Green Senator Lee Rhiannon is leading a delegation to promote this documentary film, ‘KANGAROO ;  A LOVE – HATE STORY ‘, in Europe, which compares kangaroos to disappearing “Rhino’s, tigers, cheetahs and whales”.  Australia has an export market of kangaroo meat because kangaroos are culled as their numbers are increasing at   44,852,428 in 2014 – more than when Captain Cook first saw Australia because of their access to stock water in the outback!

Where I live, their growing numbers are posing a threat to the vineyards, and around Australia to other agricultural and pastoral businesses. The activism of the Green – left agenda ignores the facts, and uses their phoney Green credentials to push their atheist politically correct agenda which is against almost everything we read in the Bible, but thankfully it seems that more and more people recognise them as imposters, who are not genuinely green.

The time is coming when all agriculture worldwide, will be built around ruminants and animals rather than chemicals and huge machinery, and then will be truly green. Isaiah 30:23-24, ‘Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures. The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan. ‘

America and Australia

It was good to see the welcome given to Australia in Washington this last week, confining that first disastrous phone call into distant history. This last year has seen the Trump administration and Australia have common strategic, political and economic goals, but it has been Australia’s success on delivering a merit-based immigration policy that brought Prime Minister Turnbull President Trump’s congratulations. “Are my friends form Congress listening to that? Merit based. We want to do merit-based immigration also” , for it “protects the interest of Australia and its people.”

President Trump is struggling to win Congressional support for his plan to end ‘chain migration’ – the tradition of endless family based migration, to protect the US from cohorts of those who refuse to integrate into democratic Western society; indeed plan to import its destruction.

There is really only one culture that provides that threat, which is why the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves le Drian, has denied automatic right of return for French Islamic jihadis and the black widows of defeated Islamic State. However, tighter restrictions than that are required to stem the flow of ‘refugees’ from the war torn lands of Islam, many of whom are young men in their 20’s and 30’s intent on establishing anything but a peaceful, integrated society.

America and Australia should get on well. After all, they are brother States, predominantly descended from the Patriarch Jacob’s two grandsons, Manasseh and Ephraim – sons of Joseph of the many coloured coat. Jacob and his descendants were promised many blessings by God, for they were destined to provide God’s example and pattern for the world. But Manasseh and Ephraim have recently not only failed to provide that example, but led the way into evil, so that many of them, especially in Britain, who is also descended from Ephraim, no longer even believe there is a God!

The result is that God is bringing punishment upon us in the form of countless foreign ‘refugees’ who hate freedom and democracy and are determined to impose their evil religion which has been the cause of the chaos and war from which they flee. Britain has already suffered the results of being partially taken over by Islam, and the US and Australia are simply trying to avoid that fate. Will they? Deuteronomy 28:15, 43, 45, “But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. …..The foreigner who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. …….All these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you till you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes that he commanded you.’ 

Billion Dollar Fiasco

Three years ago the State of Western Australia ended its appeal against a landmark court ruling recognising the aboriginal people’s native title claim over the southwest of the State, including the whole of the city of Perth!

The agreement was based upon a $1.3 billion land use agreement with the State’s 30,000 Nyoongar people, covering the whole of the city of Perth and the lower third of WA! It also included annual payments of $50 million towards the 1.3 billion, along with handing over 320,000 ha or 390,736 acres of land to the aboriginals. That horrendously ridiculous agreement is the equivalent of over $40.000 for each aboriginal, plus rights over 26 acres each and does not include the royalties which would be paid for any mining discoveries of minerals.

As we are coming to recognise, a significant percentage of those claiming to be aboriginal could be confused with recent immigrants from the UK, they look so similar, though they have a very distant Aboriginal ancestor, but even counting them all they comprise less than 3% of Australians, nationally.

Nevertheless, that deal is now on hold because some aboriginals are still not satisfied, and this claim is just one of hundreds which would add up to most of Australia. How ridiculous is that? It is as though the Welsh would now claim to own the whole of England because their ancestors were driven out of their land by the Angles and Saxons!

The ancient aboriginals were simply hunters and gatherers who migrated over the land according to the seasons. They had no permanent home, nor by hard work and development did they establish ownership in the sense that the early settlers did, who turned what was often thick bush (forest) into productive land by the sweat of their brow, and a wilderness into a prosperous and civilised nation, which would not exist if the aboriginals had been left to their stone age.

Maybe they should be compensated a little if they are mainly aboriginal, but they are already compensated by the fact that more is spent on each one of them by the government than the rest of Australians – more than twice as much! They don’t seem to realise that the rest of Australia has had to work hard to provide that money and it costs them a small fortune to obtain even a small house block of land, that is if they can afford it. And yet immigrants from many countries, even refugees who arrive here with nothing, work hard and build homes and businesses and prosper – putting sit down, hand out aboriginals to shame.

No wonder the dreamtime is part of their culture, for many of them are still living in it, and by the evidence are suffering badly from it, especially their women and children. Their claims for special treatment – huge land grants, monetary compensation and numerous jobs to administer it, the resultant mining royalties and extra government services, add up to to an evil apartheid which will divide them from other Australians, while the successful aboriginals are those who leave the dreamtime behind and integrate fully into our modern Western society where they make a good contribution.

We have to accept that this error is the fault of our acceptance of political  correctness, and failure to speak out against it.

The Bible has it right when it says in Galatians 3:28, ‘There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.’   Aboriginals may be shocked to learn, but that is the future for all Australians in the World Tomorrow.

EU Bias against Israel

A branch of the Church of God in America has found part of its work criticised by an annual report of the European Union! The report usually contains what it believes to be obstacles to a diplomatic solution to peace between Israel and the Palestinians, and this year it has targeted the work of students from that church’s college, who have been working with Israel archaeologist Dr. Eilat Mazar to excavate an area just South of the Temple Mount, close to what once was the city of ancient Israel’s King David.

The report claims that the excavations are being used  ‘As a political tool to modify the historical narrative and to support, legitimise and expand settlements’ , because though it is less than a quarter of a mile from the famous Jewish wailing wall, it is part of  ‘Arab East Jerusalem’.

Why are they digging there? Because David’s city WAS ancient Jerusalem, and it would be pointless digging in the modern suburbs! Despite that, the EU sees it as an attempt to undermine the Palestinins’ claim to the land, though it is obvious that the site was Jewish at the time of King David and material has been found which is confirming the history of the Bible.

Having walked through the ancient city of David excavations myself, it would be foolish to pretend anything else, and these false claims that they are ‘Promoting an exclusively Jewish narrative, while detaching the place from its Palestinian surroundings’ are an attempt to deny the fact that these remnants of ancient Jerusalem from the time of the Bible reveal Israelite presence.

Sadly, it seems the EU has joined the UN in its bias against Israel, for when the Palestinians began a reckless dig with bulldozers to remove ancient Jewish archaeology from within the walls around their mosques on Temple Mount, destroying for all time the evidence of Israel’s ancient presence there, the UN and UNESCO remained silent.  2 Samuel 5:6-7, ‘Now the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, and they said to David, “You shall not come in here, but the blind and lame will turn you away”; thinking, “David cannot enter here.”  Nevertheless, David captured the stronghold of Zion, that is the city of David.’ 

Iran’s Future

Last week’s incident where an Iranian drone penetrated Israeli air space reveals Iran’s ambitious plans to extend its control through to the Mediterranean. The result was an F16 fighter jet, which destroyed Iran’s mobile command vehicle in Syria, in its turn shot down by Syrian air defence batteries, causing Israel to destroy twelve further targets in Syria including four Iranian positions!

Iran, led by so called religious clerics, has sworn to destroy Israel and has enrolled Hezbollah as its proxy in Lebanon, providing it with thousands of rockets, to threaten Israel, which is not known for long accepting such threats.

What is emerging in the Middle East is a violent split in the false religion of Islam, between the Shia and Sunni states, the Shia, led by Iran, posing the greater threat to further turbulence in its ambition to dominate the region. To Iran, the more war and refugees it can create, the more Muslim migrants threaten European Christian civilisation, and the triumph of Islam.

If they think that is the way to Islamise Europe they are mistaken. Europe is at last recognising this Islamic refugee proxy invasion. Germany already leads Europe and it has previously displayed its willingness to use a holocaust solution towards those it dislikes. When it finally loses its patience it will unite with other European States who are already refusing Muslim refugees and we can expect to see forced mass expulsions along with the need to control the lands into which they plan to send them.

This is the prophecy we read of in Daniel 11: 40-42, ‘And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.’  

In order for this to occur we will first see German ‘support’ of Israel to guarantee its independence, Daniel 11:23-24, ‘And from the time that an alliance is made with him he shall act deceitfully, and he shall become strong with a small people. ( A token force ) Without warning he shall come into the richest partse of the province, and he shall do what neither his fathers nor his fathers’ fathers have done, scattering among them plunder, spoil, and goods. He shall devise plans against strongholds, but only for a time.’   ESV.  The German strong man who makes this alliance duplicitly, will make it to gain his foothold in the Middle East through which he will later pour his armies to defeat Iran’s ‘King of the South’.

Though he has not yet emerged, Iran is unknowingly unleashing a ‘Beast’ which will bring about its total defeat along with its allies, and another attempt at German world domination, which will largely succeed for a while.

An Evil Culture?

It is politically correct to make much of aboriginal culture, but all cultures should be measured by their fruits. Aboriginals delight in telling us that their ancestors have been here for 60,000 years but at the end of those years, when the First Fleet arrived from Britain, they were still living in the Stone Age. Nevertheless, people watch their pagan smoke ceremonies and ‘primitive’ dancing, their body painting and stick clapping as though it were more than just quaint. People buy their dot paintings which are believed to be their culture, but in reality are just a style based on a simplified form of Post Impressionism introduced by Christian missionaries because it was simple and easier than drawing.

Mostly, when we hear from their representatives, they are complaining about how they are deprived, but these ‘aboriginals’ are almost all nearly white with European features – almost none are genuine pure blood aboriginals, but never once do you hear them express any thanks to the European culture they have so eagerly adopted themselves. Not once have any of them expressed a desire to return to the life-style of their ‘Stone Age’ great grandparents  and instead, their endless whingeing could make some think they were the innocent victims of a cruel society, as some of them claim.

Well, lets look at the evidence of two new current government reports  –

 2017 Indigenous Expenditure Report

“On average, direct expenditure per aboriginal and Torres Strait islander Australian ($44,886)  is around twice the direct expenditure per non indigenous Australian ($22,356) . The majority of the difference was due to a greater intensity of service use ($ 14,349, 63.7%)”       So they obviously use and are provided far more services than non indigenous Australians!

2017 Close The Gap Report

This government report shows that out of the following targets only one is really on track and that is the proportion of Aboriginal children who achieved year 12. The rest, though showing some improvement did not achieve their target. They were : –

child mortality

life expectancy

early childhood education

school attendance]

reading and numeracy

unemployment

Well, we’ve heard plenty of whinging about this from the ‘aboriginal’ activists this week, but when asked, none of them put the blame where it truly belongs, on the culture of the aboriginal people which allows their menfolk to violently abuse their families and totally neglect the health and upbringing of their children, so that their neglect results in crime, ill health, high child mortality, poor life expectancy, children not sent to school, illiteracy and innumeracy and of course the unemployment of the parents, which clearly explains the failure to reach those targets.

Obviously, when these two reports are put together the true picture emerges, and we can see what holds the aboriginal people back. It is not the lack of funding, or effort on the part of social services. One of the complaints is that ten times more aboriginal children are taken into care than non aboriginal children, despite the efforts of the social services to place those aboriginal children with a part of their extended family. They just couldn’t find one safe family in that extended family of aunts and uncles!

So, lets put the blame where it belongs, on a culture which failed its people for 60,000 years, while other cultures made great advances, and will continue to fail its people until they recognise its faults and depart from them. Matthew 7: 16-17, ‘ You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.’

The coming solution?  Ecclesiastes 12:13, ‘Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.’
